Insha Mohammad
CHILD AND ADOLESCENT THERAPIST
I am a child and adolescent therapist with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from India and over six years of experience supporting children and families. I specialise in working with individuals experiencing separation anxiety, selective mutism, general anxiety, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD (including parenting sessions), intellectual disabilities, and other behavioural and cognitive concerns.
My therapeutic philosophy centres around the belief that every individual has a unique personality and perspective. I strive to honour and understand each child's worldview by gently immersing myself in their experiences, whether expressed verbally or non-verbally. Building trust and safety is at the heart of my sessions, enabling children to feel seen, heard, and empowered.
I strongly believe that meaningful change in children often begins at home. That’s why I work closely with parents and caregivers using a family systems approach—helping families understand their patterns, build stronger connections, and support their child’s growth in a unified way. By aligning therapy with family dynamics, we create a more sustainable and supportive environment for the child’s development.
My expertise lies in early intervention, working with children as young as two years old through adolescence. I take a comprehensive and collaborative approach—carefully observing, assessing, planning, and implementing personalised goals that foster growth in physical, cognitive, and social-emotional development.
I draw from a blend of therapeutic modalities including play therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and solution-focused therapy. My creative and adaptive approach allows me to connect with diverse personalities and support children in becoming more aware of themselves and the world around them, while respecting who they truly are.
For me, this work is not just a profession; it’s a way to connect with the pure, natural essence of each child and their family.
