The Haven - your anchor in the complexity of family law
The Haven ( this service offering sits under Connect Heal Restore Therapy), a specialised, trauma-informed service supporting women navigating the family law system.
What Sets Us Apart
The Haven is designed to work alongside legal practitioners, providing clinically informed, therapeutic, and practical support to clients often managing the psychological impacts of separation, high-conflict dynamics, and domestic and family violence.
We recognise that many family law clients present with complex trauma responses that can affect their ability to engage consistently, provide clear instructions, and participate effectively in legal processes. The Haven aims to strengthen client capacity, reduce overwhelm, and support more regulated, child-focused participation throughout proceedings.

Jane Davidson
The Haven was founded and is led by Jane Davidson, founder of CHR therapy. A clinical social worker with 28 years of extensive expertise in trauma, domestic violence, and the family law system. This ensures all services are grounded in both clinical best practice and a deep understanding of legal contexts and challenges.
Our goal is to work collaboratively with legal professionals to enhance client wellbeing, improve engagement, and support clearer, more effective participation in legal processes.
The family law system determines futures yet too often leaves women and children emotionally fractured.
The Haven ensures that women do not face this system alone and that healing does not end when court orders are made.
We are building not just a service, but a recovery pathway.
